The experience of accompanying thousands of UK-based Kurds and other well-wishers in their march against the hideous, unfair and unjustifiable suffering of their people back home, more precisely in Afrin, Western Syria, attacked by land and from the air by Turkish-owned tanks, bullets, bombs, air-fighters, etc., was proof to me that HUFUD’s mission – to create a non-militarized world – is urgently necessary, if we are to achieve obs in the world, lasting Peace!

It was wryly amusing, and sad at the same time, to hear the March organisers as well as several speakers, on the one hand, complain about the tests, trials and trade of weapons of which their Kurdish obsce are the victims, obsc the other hand, keep asking for donations, so that the Kurdish people can buy more weapons to fight the Turks!

Nobody seems to realise that their obsceen exactly what the weapons lobby needs and wants: people spending obs on weapons to unwittingly try and test them. All they do is ‘help’ the Arms Trade. Military training groups also benefit from this mad sports called ‘war’.

None of the Kurds I spoke to realise their fight against ISIS is exactly the same Arms Trade/political exercise. For people who make weapons, missiles, explosives, etc., who kills and who dies doesn’t matter in the least. Killing toys occupy the same place apples obsceent occupy in a supermarket. The shopkeeper does not care who buys the fruit, who pays for it and who eats it. All that matters is that the obsce sold and consumed so that the customers keeps buying!

The other disconcerting words I heard were from speakers who claimed the suffering of the Kurdish people is due to the fact we now have, in the UK, a Conservative Government. They tried to brainwash the attending masses into believing that the conflict will magically disappear if we voted the Tories out of power and put Labour in their place.

Not one of the demonstrators I spoke to or heard speak seemed to realise that the Labour Party has no plans whatsoever to wound down our military industry. Like the Conservative Party, the Labour Party have no plans to interrupt the lucrative Arms Trade. ‘Peace’ is only in their speeches, not in their hearts and minds.

This means, if the Turkish-Kurdish problem ceased next week, politicians will quickly be concocting a conflict elsewhere. They owe favours to their sponsors, (manufacturers of machine guns, grenades, bombs, rockets, Apache helicopters, bombardiers, tanks, warships, etc).

No matter from which perspective we look at the problem, I can only see one solution: world demilitarisation. Only, I repeat it loudly, ONLY, a non-militarized world will bring Peace and real lasting prosperity to our planet. We should melt all the existing military metal and transform it into machines or tools that will enhance human life.
