Dear GG, your explanation of why “American Democracy is a Myth” is first class, but you miss one very important point when you refer to the late former American President Dwight Eisenhower. You write that in 1961 “he warned about the growing influence of the military-industrial complex.” This very true, but this is something he said only to ‘wash his hands’ and not stand accused of the hell future generations will create on our beautiful planet.
This war lover, who celebrated the killing of millions and praised America after their murder in Japan of nearly a quarter of a million people with nuclear bombs (called “atomic” at the time), also said in his 1961 speech: “Our country, USA, must achieve “Full Spectrum Dominance, by land, sea and air”.
These sinister and ominous words automatically produced a manyfold increase of the Military Industry and the creation of between 800 and 900 military bases littering and poisoning the planet and causing havoc on humanity.
The world is not in the state it is by ‘accident’. The only salvation of humanity and its home, planet Earth is the Death of Militarism, that is of the War industry (absurdly called ‘Defense’) and their clients, the Armed Forces.
