in March 31, 2026 Burkina Faso’s IMF Outstanding Purchases and Loans (SDR) was 341.81 million dollars. In February this year Niger received $ 91 million and in June a further $33 million from IMF.
Mali owes over $400 million dollars to IMF and its security and humanitarian crisis is well known. Poverty and hunger rife. Claims by the government that Mali is IMF debt free are a lie.
Things are not as rosy in the Sahel. Their leaders are copying or learning from from their American or European counterparts, how to lie to the population and how to use the Media to cover up their lies.
