Dear GG, what matters is not ‘who’ finances wars or ‘who’ procures weapons. All countries have their ‘weapon programmes’, even countries ‘without’ a war industry. The war business is not about ‘manufacturing’, it is about buying and selling.

It is natural that politicians make all kind of efforts to ensure wars are as long as possible. Wars take a long time to organise and negotiate. They also cost a lot of money, the training, the transport of armies, artillery, vehicles; the food, medical personnel, etc. The duty of the politicians is to ensure wars are not ‘short-lived’.

Unless people understand this truth, this reality, Peace will remain an illusion a dream, forever or until a few powerful nuclear bombs destroy our planet.
