Warren, I understand your position, but similarly to what JWs do, there are thousands, millions over the years, in all Religions, who refuse to go to war. Of course, obtuse patrios call them ‘traitors’ but they don’t care. There is the 105-year old organisation WRI (War Resisters International) who promotes and supports those who refuse to kill, but it makes no difference to the thousands of daily dead in the world due to military activity.
In the article you sent , we read ” Jehovah’s Witnesses worldwide are imprisoned for their faith as of March 2026.”but this is not quite correct. To the authorities, they are all “conscientious objectors” that is people who refuse to become legal murderers or to die for inhuman and artificial causes invented by the war industry and politicians who represent their interests.
To me all this “refusal to kill” is useless for the future of our glorious and beautiful planet without, educating the world about the futility of war, the waste of money, effort, time, intelligence of talent that Militarism represents.
If we want humanity and the planed to survive, we must rid the world of the industry and activity that destroys us.
