Today, 22 August, we read in the media how Britain via their Joint Minister for the Foreign Office, Rory Stewart, is asking the international community to take collective action to help people survive the drought in Somalia. To explain it simply, it means if 100 million British Pounds are needed and there aro 20 countries willing to help, each country could give 5 million and the 100 million would be raised.
I find this an extremely hypocritical position. Why doesn’t the same Minister ask the international community to contribute to the loans of millions of £s for Somalia, to buy armaments, explosives and military vehicles? Simple: we want Somalia to buy British DEATH TOYS.
